Ericsson Design Systems
At Ericsson, I helped scale the design system within a domain-specific product area—extending the core foundation with new components, patterns, and themed variants that stayed true to Ericsson’s visual DNA. The system was built for white-label flexibility without sacrificing web accessibility, and it gave teams a reliable kit to ship consistent product experiences faster.
The hardest problem was theming: a color and component foundation that could rebrand fast without breaking accessibility or contrast. We set the architecture first (tokens → components → patterns), then built the libraries in Figma and partnered tightly with engineers to keep design and code in lockstep. I co-led the effort, shipping core components, introducing new patterns, and helping define the system’s visual language.
To drive adoption, we built clear documentation and lightweight workflows so teams could plug in and move quickly. Over time, the system became a key foundation for Ericsson’s internal tech acceleration program—bringing speed, alignment, and cohesion across a complex product landscape.
